I design most of my armies into two kinds of det's. Objective detachments,
purely for speed to get their, get the objective and then run like crazy
(not much a fan of take and hold objectives) and the other is heavy combat
detachments. This also why most of my detachment are right around 500
points. Combat detachments are designed to be self supporting, with
vehicles like the Vindactor backing up assault groups, and heavy weapons
surporting heavy firepower troops.

I do admit I have run into problems actually trying getting objectives. My
Ravenwings get chewed up pretty bad after one or two capture objectives. My
third company armored cavalery (All ground troops in Rhinos and vehicle
support) does a little better in the long run, but is not quite as fast.

I have to agree with whoever said that mission based scenarios are more fun
than the moral based ones though. Like I have said before, i like to design
my own scenarios that involve a goal and a tactical problem to overcome.
Moral is pretty much ignored by my group, because we have seen too many
under half strength detachments pull out serious victories. I have a hard
time believing that these detachments don't add anything to the over all
moral of the army.
