I also play 40k, and have done since Rogue trader first came out. Now,
there is no difference between a spirit warrior and a regular dreadnought,
before the dreadnoughts were piloted by guardians, which is why they have
large heads, the spirit warriors were heroes, and had better stats, but
there was a down side due to the dislocated nature of spiritstone
existance. I cannot remember what though.
Interestingly enough, it was around this time that wraithguard were
conceived, because, with each dread blister (yep they came in blisters)
came a ghost warrior, each of these diminutive robots had 2 power fists
and either a head mounted shuriken catapult or flamer, they also had a
special cloaking device (it might have been chameleoline (which was
different back then) or a holo-field). They were very tough (T:6) and
slightly smaller than a human and crouched over, they looked like small
dreadnoughts. They would make interesting E40K units, something like:

move:15, range:15, fp:2, assault:4, armour:6. notes: Infiltrators

5 to a stand and cost 13 or 14 a unit, and be support to a host only.
They were really tough, quick and hard to hit. I hated them...

When you dream there are no rules, people can fly, anything can happen.
Sometimes, there's a moment as you're waking, that you become aware of
the real world around you, but you're still dreaming.
You may think you can fly, but you better not try it...
