Well, not really. The vortex creates a barrage-sized hole
in reality that causes massive damage to anything caught in it.
The warp missile does massive damage to a single target and ignores
shields. Firing off a vortex against a untouched Warlord or Imp
won't even get past the shields. Firing a warp at a group of tanks
will only destroy one. Also, vortexes are better against Eldar
titans (multiple hits to get past the save) while warp missiles are
fairly useless.

Oh, forgot about the Harpoon. Bringing in the old SM/TL
rules wholesale is probably the best way of doing it (3+? to hit,
1 in 6 chance of not working each turn). Also forgot about the
trident - the one that pulls other titans into base-to-base contact
so that you can tear them up in CC. Not that such a thing is
really useful in SM/TL, but it is pretty darn cool sounding.
