Yes, if they are in range. I had some Scorpions (really Tempests) getting
attacked, and was worried about not being able to shoot, until I remembered
those FP weapons. They were in range, and I took out a bunch of marines.

I'd say they've got a weakness, the way most things do. I've used three to
open up on a Mega-Gargant. I had no blast markers, and rolled something
like 2 5s and a 6 or 2 6s and a 5 for their pulsar. The explosion was
magnificent. :)

I think weird effects happen with blast markers. For instance, if something
wanders in range of your FP weapons above, you suddenly can shoot
effectively with your Pulsar. On the other hand, if count out-of-range
weapons, you can fire just as well with blast markers as without. I wish
they had come up with some other approach to effectiveness, allowing blast
markers to gradually reduce the effect of weapons. But overall, I'm
content.
