[Epic] wargames are fun?

I thought I would leap in here. I got introduced to Epic when I worked
in a comic/gaming store. The 2 guys that worked there played, and so
did 5 or 6 of the regulars. I watched a few games, and thought "that's
kinda cool, but not enought to spend money on". Then I played part of
someones army (I played the knights, he played the rest) and we got
horribly stomped (not just my fault). I figured, hey if you start that
bad, it can only get better! I have also bought a fantasy army, but
we've only played once. No interest in 40K. I don't think I would care
to play non-miniature based systems (the painting is the best part!)
