And of course their is the problem with the "smart" cruise misiles. The US
army made a very big deal about how accurate and pinpoint they were, when in
fact only about 5% hit anywhere near the directed target. It made great
press and made the public feel good about the war. Heck with misiles that
accurate no innocent civilians could be killed. Shame about the B52 carpet
bombing and the fuel air bombs.

In summary, artillery isn't the big killer, but it's role is still very
important. It shatters morale like nothing else.
