Npt quite true: You must have a flak unit within range of anywhere on
the flight path, not neccessarily closer at the firing point.
But agree, flak coverage is problematical. What you CAN do is make sure
that there are at least some units within 10cm of any reasonable flight
path ONTO A WORTHWHILE TARGET. Gretchin are excellent for this, a line
of them along your rear edge is very useful, you might even get 4-5
shots in before he can have a go at your artillery.
But yes, Fliers can pick off the skirmish screen with no risk to
themselves.
