Thunderers shot marginally better, simply by costing about 5%
less per stand. They also had fully twice the break point of the Dark
Reapers, and twice the movement, as well as being able to buy
transportation for a third of the cost (Rhinos vs. Falcons). I
believe the conclusion the last time we had this argument was that you
and about half of the other people continued to insist that DRs were
better, while the majority of the Squat and Eldar players kept
insisting that the Thunderers were better. As the debaters haven't
changed, the conclusion is just about certain to be the same if we
 start again.

thats fine, give them stubborn and rhino transports - but not firepower
values of 3 and 4!
This is just silly - its way too powerful, and will massively upset the game.
Landraiders at least can be blastmarkered and killed up close, but these
guys wont let anything get near.
Just give them heavy weapons and stubborn, and some tranport capability
- thats all they are.
Remember, ALL units are based of 40K units, NOT space marine, so you
shouldnt even be using them at all to make up new units - look at thunders
in
40K. Are they more powerful than Dark Reapers or Wolfguard at shooting -
no.
So they shouldnt be in epic.

Maybe you should do a direct comparison, in SM/TL Thunderers had the
same firepower as a Predator tank - that is 3 dice at 75cm, hitting on a 5+
witha -1 modifier. In E40K a Predator has a FP of 2, so, since the
comparison is with SM/TL maybe they should have an FP of 2 after all.
