OK. Fair enough. The Space Marine game is questionable without the
hou=
se rules, but with them I love it. It is really a "Veteran's only"
game.

Actually, I noticed that most of the most of the rules problems never came =
up, I played eldar and there still were not that many problems. We had the =
Doomweaver/Waveserpant problems, but once these were resovlved there were f=
ew more problems. I did not play epic when it first came out, i.e. before t=
he supplements other than titan legions, but most of the base rules were st=
raightforward and simple to use. Unfortunaly, I think the E40K base rules a=
re more complex. Shooting and CC(the basics of the wargame) were simple and=
unquestionable under Epic/Tl, howeer they are now much more complex. This =
is not to bash either system, I like them both, but I dislike the complexit=
y of E40K's system, which seems a bit counter-intuitive. (For instance, man=
y troops can move as far or farther than they can shoot, especially on assa=
ult). Also, as someone mentioned, the rules clarifications now effect every=
one, not just a rare specifica situation, for instance the blast markers an=
d super heavy weapons is a common thing, I don't think Sm/TL had as many pr=
oblems with it's base rules. Oh well.
Just my $.02 .
