You mean like any modern army fights with units specialized for certain
roles? The air force clears the sky of enemy aircraft, and attacks
ground targets. The army takes and holds territory, and the navy patrols
the seas. When I first got into epic, I choose the Imperial Army (to
include Space Marines) because I felt the most familiar with the way their
units worked together. No one has ever accused me of fielding a cheesy
force just because I mixed Imperial Guard and Space Marine elements.
