Hello All,
I have a couple of questions I would like considered.
1. You mention many times as an option "Keep the current system". Which
system are you referring to?
Adeptus Titanicus
Space Marines1
Space Marines2/Titan Legions
Epic 40K
2. This system, do we want to change lots of things or do we want to keep
the system intact but "tweak" the few things that did not work
satisfactorily in the game? These two different approaches would influence
how many changes we would be comfortable with and also how much work would
be needed to complete this project.
3. Do we want to use one of the systems as a template or do we want to
create a brand new game from scratch?
I think that I am still at the concept stage, while it appears as though
most people are getting into the specifics. I seem to be a step behind the
rest of you. I have not had time to answer the first 26 questions and I see
that there is already a newer, longer list of ideas posted.
Would it be more helpful to address each major topic with a different
thread/e-mail? It would keep each discussion a little more focused, and we
could use titles like "Close Combat Revisions", "Template/Dice Revisions",
"Infantry Saves Revisions", to keep the threads easier to track. Once we
found that most people were in general agreement on a topic, you could then
concentrate the discussion on just the sections (or even sub-sections) where
large amounts of disagreement still exist.
I have only played Epic Space Marines/Titan Legions, so my knowledge of the
other systems is somewhat limited. I am willing to lend my experience with
Epic Space Marines to your discussion. Hopefully, I will have the time to
respond to your questions over the Thanksgiving break, (this weekend).
Best regards,
Brian A. Evans
