Agree with you. My original idea was an extensive Chaos Space Marines
codex (or CSM section in a Chaos codex) where the Legions' background
and flavour could be exploited. Then a simple rule that permits the
Chaos player to field:
1) a pure CSM force
2) a pure Daemon horde
3) a mix of the two
Face it, the Chaos army as it is now is prevalently daemon-oriented.
Chaos Space Marines are just a single company with a nifty chaos
reward you may field with the corresponding primarch. No background,
no fluff, same stats (and all armed with that pesky missile launcher -
_-').
