Re: [NetEpic ML] [v5.0]Chaos army list
Been lurking on the list for a while and noticed the dilema
>I don't like the idea of reducing Chaos cards. It doesn't attack the problem mentioned previously. OK, >now GD are easier to bring down, but the problem wasn't mixing GD, the problem was the possibility >to field a really good choice of troops. This way we don't limit at all this advantatge. It's the same as >ballancing SM for excessive deployment speed, reducing the number of void shields on titans.
In this sense you are correct and this will weaken old style chaos armies more than new one.
There is no doubt that the inbalance caused to the chaos army list has been caused by such a wide range of daemon engines avalible, as chaos was fine pre titan legions
when the new daemon engines were released our gaming group soon realised the power of a multi power force and after a series of arguments we made it so armies including daemon engines from more powers had to pay an increased amount for all their daemon engines. I cant remeber the exact values however i think approx values were
1 power list cost
2 powers 150% list cost
3+ powers 200% list cost
This increase did not apply to greater deamons or titans even patron specific

i like the idea of animosity for the powers however i would like to suggest that any unit only need make one animosity roll and only against the closest opposing power unit within 30cm. ( maybe make it so there is a preference between powers so not necessarily closest unit)
