Progress stopped for two reasons:
1) I am living in a temporary residence right now and will continue to do so for the next four months at least. With most of my stuff packed up there's not too much I can do.

2) I have found suitable mold material but the casting material for the figures themselves is a problem. They're so small I'm not so sure what kind of material I should use. Two-part epoxy resin seems like a good idea, but the problem is how to store it since it has to be stored well below room temperature. I can't just put it in refridgerator since the stuff STINKS.

Of course, I can just store it outside in winter, but then the problem is reversed: where do I do the casting? I'd need a separate room and that is what I won't have until summer when our new base of operations is hopefully completed.

Besides, with resin air bubbles tend to be a problem and at this scale only one is needed.

I have found several suggestions for materials in English, but the stuff here tends to get renamed (Resin, for example, is called "hartsi") so it involves a fair bit of detective work to get hold of the right stuff.

I'll let people know when (if) I get anything done, but don't hold your breath.
