No the necrons are older than our list! However, the bacground of the
necrons have been unclear until the latest GW codex. They are infact a slave
race (If you can call robots a race....) However, not to the Slann..... As I
said I'm open to all suggestions, and the army has been thorougly testet as
a standalone army and can hold it's own if neccesary!

I'm a little unclear about how the NetEpic Slaan/Necrons relate to the GW
Necrons - is the background the same, did you come up with the Necrons
before GW? 40k Necrons are some mongo bad guys all on their own, while here
they're relegated to a support/slave race role. Which part do we want them
to play? It's not really sufficient to say they're a stand-alone army, as
that makes the assumption that they're subservient to the Slaan.

Personally, my opinion is to leave 'em lower in the heirarchy - it makes
sense that *someone* created a machine race. V'ger aside, machine races
don't evolve.
