[NetEpic ML] Re: Summary of changes to date

I remember asking you about the Warp and Vortex missiles earlier,
and
the answer i got was : They ignore the shields. So, when i told
Nils, he
laughed, and said (No quote;) "Bring it on, please! I'll field a
detachment
of deathstrikes with warp missiles and blow the thing to kingdom come
in the first turn" :-)

Still, i havn't playtested it, but i have to agree with you on stats basis.
A titan this hi-tech should have good saves/repair rolls, even better
than the Eldar. The Slann titans are after all the pinnacle of technology!
I can live with the modified save rolls as you've suggested, and at
a price of 1500 for the smallest, and 2000 for the biggest, they suddenly
become interesting. With the new carapace save, there's also a reduced
chance
of it becoming totally lost in the warp. I'd like to see some sort of save
against warp/vortex missiles as well, since it doesn't seem fair that
a cheap detach of deathstrikes can take out 15-20 (20-25 atm.)
VP's with a few pot shots.

Does the warp missile actually travel in the warp btw? As i've understood,
the warp shield causes the titan to blink in and out of the warp, and
if the warp missile doesn't travel in the warp, it seems to me that it
shouldn't be able to hit the titan if said titan is currently "blinked".

Just my 2 altarian dollars.

                Hi!

I'd playtest it though, remeber the warp shield gives you a
FIXED 3+ save
versus virtually anything (hmmm I winder if that extends to
wrp missiles and
vortex missiles, what do you think?). that means only a
third of the shots
even make it through. A lesser degree will penetrate armor.
Of course it has
the disadvantage that, given luck even the first shot may go
through and
                reek havoc.

Another thing is after looking over the saves for this
thing, they are
pretty low for a machine of this size and power. I'd say
such a vitasl thing
as the carapace and reactor should be a 1+, and the legs a
2+. they are the
highest tech, why should it be this high? Overall I'd lower
the frontal
armor values by one, point the sideand rear can remain.

With these armor values is 1500 points still good enough?

                Opinions?
