Hi!
I have played them in the correct fashion for years. Hardly a wonder weapon.
They always scatter and if they scatter beyond a certain distance they do
nothing, and now with our pinning rules only infantry are effected not
vehicles or higher. The range is great and LOS is good too, but y experience
is that they are far to unreliable and using them en masse is a waste of
points.
Try out a battle with them this way, you'll find that the usual obstructions
of the battlefield will limit them quite much.

Hi Darius!
You know Darius, for the last ten years I've been using Shokks with out
using the ability to stop a unit from firing.
Now, you might think that because of this, I would never use this unit
at all. I mean, I NEVER used them for the MAIN purpose of disrupting
the enemy's fire, never.
And niether did anyone else I played with. If I would have suggested
such a thing, they would have LAUGHED at me! Then told me to stop being
greedy, and get real.
Did this unit ever find it's way into my Group's armies? Almost always!
The ability to fire line of sight, and destroy any unit, make Shokks
awsome! And don't forget thier ability to empty buildings, etc...
All for only a hundred points. Quite a deal!
A STEAL, if you let them prevent units from firing, an absolute STEAL!
