Hmmm...didn't we already have this discussion about marine stands in rhinos, and
the idea of different orders to the transports than to the cargo? I feel that
it's perfectly acceptable for this to work:

Warboss: 'Ey, go drive up and give dose oomies a taste vu da boot leather! but
first take dese shooty boys to da ruins on yer way!

>"Orks Hitching a Lift"

Ahhhh, but does it:

Rulebook, p15
Orks Hitching a lift:
"Orks can't move on their own in the same phase if they hitch a lift, but the
vehicle's move is unaffected. Units hitching a lift in this manner are simply
picked up and dropped down as the vehicle makes its move. A unit of Orks can
only hitch a lift once per *PHASE*." (emphasis mine)

Rulebook, p21
Assault:
"Moving in the assault phase is subject to all the rules you used in the
movement phase, except that units may not snap-fire in the assault phase."

So Orks could hitch a lift twice in the *turn*, just not in twice in a *phase*.
However, rereading that passage, I would have to say that orks on overwatch
couldn't do this, only orks on assault orders: The rulebook says specifically
that the Orks *lose* their ability to move if they intend to hitch a lift. Only
Orks on Assault orders have *any* move to forfeit in exchange for the hitch.
So, I guess I have answered (2) on my own...

<Scouts/Heavies Tactic clipped>

That's nice. I think Infiltrators are some of the best units...
I like infiltrators to cut off enemy flyers: spread a line of infiltrators out
across your entire front line, at least 30 cm past your closest guys. Flyers
come straight on, you've got some snap fire before they get through.
