Very true, I should have thought a bit more before firing off a post.
The 30cm skimming Night Spinners will get at least one overwatched turn
more than the chaos engines. However, the chaos engines do have the
ability to return a heavy barrage on the Night Spinners, not just
disrupt. I would have to think this would help.

Unfortunately for Chaos, this is a problem against everyone. Your
point is well taken and understood - the swooping hawks have a slight
edge on the assault initiative and they only need to be within 60cm to
firefight vs. 45cm for the demons to get into close combat.

Another option may be to try to tough it out by using Noise Marines
with Silver Towers in support to slowly drive the Eldar back until the
Night Spinners are destroyed by the Khorne Arty. Then bring the demons
up for the serious business.

I understand now, this is definitely a tricky situation for Chaos.

<grin> That's exactly what I was hoping you'd say. I've very much
enjoyed what's on your page, but have been waiting for your new ones to
arrive. I'll write up another of my own and submit it for your page.

My personal vote would be to post 'em, but I don't pay by the kilobyte
(does anyone still?) and I'm on a 33.6 modem...
