MadMac on periscopes:
Have you ever seen those toys periscopes that let you se around
corners using two mirrors. That's a periscope. Picture looking
through one with 6 inches ballistic safety glass (kind of a pale
yellow). The only person with really good vision is the gunner.
He has a reticule that lets him scan using 3x and 10x power.
(not 100% sure on the exact magnification powers).

If you don't know what's around you, you are already
risking a lot.
