JM,

And here are some comments on E41k.

> Commander:

A reasonable change that makes sense. OTOH, I recall instances in the
Civil War when regiments became 'out of command' and failed in their
attempts to fall under the command of another brigade. The disaster of
Iverson's and O'Neal's brigades on Oak Ridge during Gettysburg comes to
mind. Anyway, I'm getting way off topic - point is perhaps there should
be a 4+ roll rather than making it automatic?

Doubling of range really does seem like a powerful change, despite the
rules below. Nevertheless, I really like the change overall and my
sense is that it much better reflects the real use and effect of
artillery.

Now, if they have 5 blast markers, my understanding is that 5 of the
Griffon's can't fire. Maybe I'm totally zonked today but I thought that
as barrages were SHWs, if they were alone in a detachment one BM
eliminates one Barrage.

Hear, hear - we made this call as well.

I haven't had a chance to test these yet, but they seem reasonable.

Looks fine.

Looks good to me.

Really like these rules.

Cool!

Even better!

This is getting a bit powerful, though...

Sheesh!

Ah, ok, there's a chance it doesn't happen. In that case, it's ok. :-)
I would suggest that a better way to do it might be to buy dice of
offboard artillery rather than rolling each time. i.e. for a certain
game you can buy 1d6 of offboard firepower for every level of FO you
have. Each d6 costs 10 points. The FO can call up to his level in d6
per turn. If you still want to roll a die, just say roll a d6 that's
how many dice of FP actually arrive. If you roll over the request you
get the requested number of dice. I do feel that deathstrike attacks
should not be indirect.

Very good post overall. Keep it up!
