        Whirlwinds are not in the 40k Chaos codex. I don't
think there's any specific mention of them being developed
after the Heresy, though. So chalk it up to oversight, or
to GW rewriting history once again.

        Which is why it's silly that E40k chaos detachments
don't have access to either the vindicator or the whirlwind.
