8 Biovores: on average, 4 BMs plus another BM for 8 SHWs firing, or a
total of 2 (from FP) + 4 (Disrupts) + 1 (8 SHWs) = 7.

So yes, your calculations are correct.

Biovore range is 60cm. On turn 1, the SM company marches 85cm in its
Rhinos to within 12cm of your bugs, then FireFights you (at half effect)
to tiny little pieces. Or alternately, assuming there's assault marines
with Jump Packs, they go on assault orders, move 30cm, you fire at them,
they then move another 25cm, disembark and move a further 25cm into
contact.

No, there are certain units that 14 BMs is what you need to suppress
them. I admit it seems a little large, but not too bad.
