Talk to Alun about Vortex being cheesy. On Sunday, after knocking down all
the shields on his Mega Gargant using Leman Russ's and Marauders, a SINGLE
vortex missle blew it to bits.
He is still reeling from that one.
I personally don't think they are too bad as long as there are small
numbers of them.
I took exactly one for a 3000 point game and felt that was adequate. I
don't think that replacing them with AT shots really cuts the cheese.
Andy C. wrote a small note on page 99 saying how he hates
Vortex missiles. He suggests a max. of one Deathstrike per
det. or they be treated as D6 A.T. shots. He's saying GW made
a mistake!!! Maby I'll cut out the page and hang it on the wall!!
I must say I aggree. Deathstrikes are far too cheesy if you more
than a few in an army. Both his rules suggestions sound find
to me.
