Bother, it is often says that a good teacher learns more then his
student. And the question about what Eldar troops make a good detachment
hasn't really been talked about much. We've had Marines, and Orks
mostly. As a Marine player I enjoy the hope, but the only reason I
didn't buy Eldar was I didn't feel I had the tactical precision to
fully take advantage of the excellent challenges afforded by this
fearsome army (GW PR here I come!!)) Basically, Marines kick butt, and
it is hard not to do damage before you go.

Anyway, I was at this Drama thing for our school play, and was
complimenting everyone on their dancing (no one returned the sentiment,
but no one thought John Candy was a great dancer either)) Then I
answered some flame mail, and now I'm answering this. Hyper and all
that.

My suggestion to you is that you look at the army lists, cut out little
pieces of paper to represent different troops (It helps, can't make
detachments without the models, paper will do since you haven't bought
any)

Generally make an army you think is fun. There are no really disasterous
combinations, because you can just reorganise. I like to have an
assortment of different troops to pick from. That way I have little of
something for everything (doesn't really make much sense) I prevents
cheese. Also, if it doesn't work, find a way to make it work. None of
this "People didn't use certain models because they sucked" for me

Man I'm longwinded. I'm done
