1. Undercoat with white
2. Thinly coat with a single colour
3. Wash with a darker version of the same colour
4. Drybrush with a lighter version of the same colour
5. Paint in details, and fix up the inevitable mistakes with the colour
of stage 2. Using fineline fibre pens can do wonders too, if you need to
do stripes etc

Yes. Hey, it could be worse.... In SM2 in order to make some Eldar
units, you had to buy 4 boxes, that's 20 sprues. Of course they cost not
much more than one box of two sprues today...
