Maybe you miss the point. There is no good reason for a HWB to be
relatively unaffected by a blast marker and a volcano cannon to be
eliminated. Any idiot can recognize that you can guard a SHW with a
HWB, the point is you shouldn't have to. Also, most SHW's are designed
to be used at long range in most cases, while the gaurdian weapon
systems all have shorter ranges. Look at a shadowsword; it has to get
to within 30cm before the puny lascannons can gaurd the volcanon
cannon. Sure, you can gaurd them with stormhammers (and probably
should to protect against infantry), and only lose 15 cm of your range
advantage. But again, it's just stupid to say that one tank
loses almost nothing from a blastmarker while the other is shut down.

Superheavies are massive hunks of metal, designed to take plenty of
punishment. Why shouldn't their powerful, heavily mounted weapons be
less susceptible to incoming fire than more mortal tanks and vehicles.
