Fighta Bommas. Just so you can get some experience using them. After
that, Mekboy
speedstas. After that, all those useless-in-SM2 Big Gunz, the Hop-Splats
and Tractor
Cannon. These are your mainstay of firepower. After that, the stuff in
the new boxes
ie E40K infantry.
In E40K almost no troops are useless (though I wouldn't go overboard on
the Squiggoths..)
and they all have their uses. Go for a Smorgasboard, a little bit of
everything.

Apart from some more Pulsa Rockets, not that I can see! A few more
Speedstas would
be good, but get them 2nd hand.

1) Try to keep speeds the same - so if you have some Battlewagons, only
take as many infantry as will fit, and no Stompas, DNs etc. If you have
bikes/buggies, take speedstas and nothing else as support.
2) Have a mix of Big and small Units, at least until you've played a few
games.
3) Try to make specialised forces: eg A Titan Killer of 1 BossBike, 10
Buggies
and 10 Death Ray Speedstas, a unit of 5 Battlefortresses and associated
unit
of 12 Big Gunz, 6 Boyz, Boss and Psyker. The BF's transport the others.
4) Style is Everything. The old clans make excellent bases for new
detachments.

I'm putting all my Nobz on the new bases, along with Gretchin screeners
and Shooties.
The rest, the "great unwashed horde" are on the old bases. So I'd
recommend a mix.
