Well in 40k, the unit is half the size too, so my point stands.

And Again.. Terminators in 40k are also half a tactical squad, but are more
expensive(300 for tac(10), 315 for termie(5))

Of course it does... you didn't know that? Its the same sort of rules that
permit the painted miniatures to do better than the unpainted ones.
