Uh, wasn't the white armour later said to honour a bunch of Death wing (who
were aparently First Nations, American Indains, Native Americans, Redskins
whatever) who died fighting 'stealers, and that they had painted their
armour white in that battle. To honour them the rest of the termie armour
was painted white?

This is fairly recent fluff, and things may have been different when SM
first came out.
