They seem to have replaced 25cm increments with 15cm, and
just done a scale down. My first house rule (I haven't yet
decided on the game--very mixed feelings) may be rescaling
all weapons back up. I think it may just be replacing each
15 cm with 25. Only unbalancing it might do is to those
who rely on close assaults, and I'm much less keen on that
being the answer to everything than GW is. Sure, when someone
is dug into cover, you have to send someone in to get him
out. But that doesn't mean that running across an open field
is the best way to handle an enemy in the open.
I think that short-ranged high FP weapons would be easy to
house rule. (increase FP, decrease range) But as far as I
can see, there is no way to make those better against (say)
infantry, as opposed to tanks. Sounds like you can increase
or decrease the number of dice a weapon throws into the pile,
but not increase the accuracy of a weapon (increasing chance
to hit one target) or increase the power of a weapon (increasing
chance to kill a target that has been hit).
