This is the right place ! In the list there are a lot of old and good players
which "wisdom" range from Adeptus Titanicus to Epic 40k !

Well, maybe you are interested in some money saving advice about basing your
minis....
Epic is a stand based game, so it is not very important that every base has 5
models on it.
I play with this mounting scheme:
tactical marines /generic infantry: 4 or 5 models on a base
devastator marines: 4 tacticals and 1 heavy weapon
assault marines: 4 or 5 assault marines
shooty boyz: 1 or 2 heavy wepons boyz and 4/3 boyz
nobz base: 3 nobz and 2 boyz
bike/cavalry/jetbike units: 2 models per base on a 3 cm x 1 cm base
command stand: 3 model per base on a 3cm x 1 cm stand
scout marines: 4 scout and 1 tactical marines (by the fluff... scout sergeant
is a regular marine)
Using this scheme you can save money without loosing visual appeal !
