[Epic] Campaign Thoughts

I was always of the opinion that the best thing about campaign rules were
that you developed histories for your units. The way the WHFB campaign
rules work out is that you make a new army every time you battle.

I like to see a set of campaign rules where 1/2 of your casualties were
able to be replaced/repiared by next battle. Detachments that are still
under break point are put into reserves or used to bolster other
detachments.

With the new E40k rules war engines (titans and SHVs) either become
wrecked or destroyed. That would translate easily into campaign rules.

Back in the day I thought long and hard about Epic campaigns. Much of
what came up looked like Peter's Mighty Empires(esque) rules. Perhaps I
sould dig up my notes and have a go at it again. But first I need to
playtest my E40k Knight rules.
