The Geo-Hex system is very nice for Space Marine and micro armor.
Geo-Hex is a system of 10cm hexagonal foam that you can sculpt and
flock. The hexes can be purchased in varying thicknesses to make
different elevations. GHQ sells the raw materials, but you have to do
all the work. However, you can buy the terrain prepared for you from a
guy here in Dallas, Tx. His prices are reasonable and he does
exceptional work.
