Yeah, I would expect the ability to recover from anything, that's not what
I'm arguing against. What I find ridiculous is the idea of having multiple
medics with overlapping fields. Yes, I know it is all on the unofficial Q
and A's, which I've never particularly cared for anyways. Some of their
rulings are really strange, and this is a great example of one of them. If
you wanted to play a complete Cheez-whiz army, this would by far take the
cake.

Could you imagine an army of packed medics with a screen of standard
troops? You could create an almost completely invincible formation, with
each additional medic increasing the saving throw exponentially! Even with
just 5 medics, the odds are already ridiculously good. An 87% save!?
Could you imagine if you got just 1 detachment of terminators screening
those medics? It would be invincible, those terminators would have 89%
saves, which incidentally, is a better survival rate than that of small
Titans. True, this single formation of troops would occupy all of an
army's special slots probably, but that is little sacrifice to pay for an
unstoppable combo.

Get the medics a detachment of land raiders and rush them across the
battlefield with the terminators in a tightly knit group, or better yet
THawk them in! If you go by the Q&As, they could be knocked out of the sky
by AA guns while in the THawks and they would have pretty good chances of
not suffering a single casuality. Once they actually arrive, I pity the
enemy units on that part of the board. Your Terminators already have a +6
CAF, but add in a 87% save if they lose, and those guys could wipe Titans
off the battlefield with sickening ease. A single detachment of Termies
dropped with 5 medics could wipe a Warlord battlegroup off the table in two
turns without breaking into a sweat!

Whew! Sorry about that rant, but sometimes AC & JJ's nonsensical answers
really get to me. There's gotta be a point where no matter how many more
cooks you get, the soup just ain't gonna get any better.
