 That's exactly what happens. they get a bonus to their second move,
doubling it, (so a triple move dist in the turn overall) only if they
can enter CC as a result. And if you put blast markers on them before
this second move, during the shooting phase, they will have to pass a
leadership test to move.

assault orders are not always the best. They can be useful, but your
firing is badly affected and there are times when you don't want to have
to move closer to the enemy. We played a game in the local shop this
evening. On the right flank, an even force of orks in battlewaggons
plus bnikes faced off against 6 raiders and some termies. We used the
no order option to move the raiders into a firing line and disembark the
termies. The orks on assault came stragight for us - and we blew heck
out of the column in just one turn, taking exactly 1 blast marker for
our trouble.

Yes, they did get into close combat with us. Yes, it wasn't pretty.
But the blood was green, not red.
