Just some tactical thoughts on how to defeat the Tyranids from a bug
player:

I didn't think the bio-assasin tactic mentioned above through before
using it the first time. I just picked one of his command units, and
this was the result. It worked exceedingly well.

You might avoid using titans against the tyranids as the Dominatrix's
Energy pulse will convert them to vp's before you can get a shot off. I
suggest an army consisting mainly of Falcons, Firestorms, Tempests,
Prism Cannons, Night Wings, a few warlocks, and a some CC infantry in
case they get in close.

The best tactic is to sit back on first fire and let the swarm come to
you. He doesn't get the vps for objectives so you don't have to rush out
and expose yourself either. Concentrate your fire on the independent
units, synapse creatures, and weaker instinctive units. If he drops
spores, destroy them in the air. Only regenerating creatures have a
chance of surviving crashes. You will have a turn to move away from the
ones that regenerate the flak damage. Keep your CC infantry on charge
orders to engage the bugs that manage to avoid dying in the spore pods.
I have used empty spore pods to draw fire, and I have dropped carnifex
broods, but most pods are gunned down by a paranoid enemy:]

Once you break enough bug units rush out and grab the objectives that
will put you over the top. More later, if you are interested.
