Well, my power-armoured marines get any _really_ bad mold lines cleaned
up, otherwise no cleaning. My terminators are imaculate tho 8)
I base coat, ink, then drybrush (sometimes skip the ink depending on the
colours involved) both infantry and tanks. Infantry get their guns
painted, and where i can I paint company colours. eg on the MK 7 models my
UM's get their company colours painted on the rim of the shoulder pads.
For my SW detatchments (~ half a great company by the old rules) I do
stylised squad markings and a vaguely wolf-head shaped insignia (on a mix
of MK 6 and 7 troops). Takes ages but looks way cool 8)
Charatcers get much of the same, just better quality, and I do their eyes
too! Tanks are easy, cos most of the detail is larger.
Bottom line: if you think base coat is okay, no-one will get too upset 8)
If you wanna go overboard, go ahead - getting the odd jaw drop reaction is
great IMHO 8)
Adios,
