Not only do I not care if miniatures are painted (I'm trying to paint
mine, but neither my life nor my gaming is on hold until I do), but
one reason I have multiple armies is so other people can use mine.
I like the Space Marines best, but my wife is going to use the Eldar,
and I've also got Orks and some of the other Imperials.

I used to play _very_ occasionally with a friend who used the Eldar
(but he'd get out of the mood for a while and do woodworking instead,
and when he was doing another hobby, I couldn't get him interested
in playing), and when I moved he gave me the Eldar figs he had bought
(2 Tempests, 2 Doomweavers, 2 Wave Serpents). I had friends from
church play, and they used my figures. Now if I find someone who
likes games, maybe getting them to play will be a lot easier because
they can use my figures. I hope.
