We play with the 'majority of the detachment' rule, which makes things
workable. Also, the supreme commander in any force doesn't himself
have to be stubborn to confer the stubborn ability. That's just the
ability of command, or something. It can be very potent to have a
supreme commander within range of your detachment commanders at all
times. EVERYONE becomes stubborn and a lot more effective in an
assault.
