I just gotta ask - what the hell is the main power
supply if a plasma reactor gets relegated to backup
duty? :)

Yes, but they are supposed to be incredibly rare. You
only used to get one vortex per game for your entire
army!

Yes indeed, the vibro cannon would be a serious
demolisher of buildings. Or more accurately, two
Vibro cannons working together.

A reactor that can never be shut down would never be
allowed to operate in the first place!

If you took a whole classroom of screaming kids, wound
them up to 78rpm with a truckload of chocolate easter
eggs and set them loose in a modern nuclear power
facility, with instructions to trash the place, they
still couldn't make it blow up. Despite what
Hollywood tells us, it is almost impossible to get
that sort of reaction from a half-decent reactor.

As I said, my main problem with this is game balance.
I once pointed out to Rick Priestley (ah nostalgia,
this was back in the good old days of Rogue Trader)
that for 250pts you could have an off-board support
missile with a 9" radius Vortex warhead - he replied,
"I love it! But I would never allow it in one of my
games."

Nuclear warheads do not exist in either 40K or Epic
for a very good reason - as soon as you set one off,
the game is over and EVERYBODY dies.
