Well, if chaos cards dont work on units with voidshields, how
about holofields and warpshields? How about taking over a
Slann titan? With the current rules (as i understand them),
that is possible without a single saving throw...and all
you have to do is get the Slaanesh legion within 25 cms of
it and play the card...

As for beating chaos, i have done that with the orks once
(ive only played against chaos twice). The game Slann vs. Chaos
was the closest game ive ever played. 31-31 in the first
turn! And this was a 3k points game. If i hadnt used my
few remaining necrons to take 2 VP's in the 3rd round,
id have lost. All my units were broken, except for the
Dracons (yay! :). I had one mech left, 2 Necron Assaults,
2 detachments with dracons, one Exodus mage chief and
one Nemesis MBT. Just goes to show that taking out Slann/Necrons
isn't that hard, if you just have a good strategy.
The only reason i won, was cause i focused more on the OP's than
my opponent did, and was veeeeery careful how i moved
in the first round at least...

The Slann seem very well balanced against chaos, although
id hate to see the lure of slaanesh played on a slann
titan. Game Killer!

I dont really know about the tyranid and ork cards as we have never played
with those, but chaos cards are difficult to play up against. Thats also the
way it should be.

Without the chaoscards the army would just be another army, only with
something called deamons and minions in stead of regular units.

As for titans, as far as I remember, chaoscards dont work on them as long as
they have active voidshields. (somebody correct me here if Im wrong)

As for strategies for fighting chaos, Im a little biased. One one hand it is
tempting to break the minioncards. This is easily done as the in general is
few in numbers an thus easy VPs. On the other hand it might be wise to keep
firing at the deamons to make chaos give up his cards. One less card on the
deamons hand is one less card played against you. Any advice here?

Im not going to start to whine much about this, but this is also yet another
example that shows how strong (and in my opinion still unballanced) slann
is. This was the first time in our group slann fought chaos, first time Rune
faced them, and he still won! No one in our group has done that, in fact up
til now, no one has beaten chaos in our group. I know it was a close call,
so this is just some food for thought....
