All in all the Imperial Fists are a fairly new addition. Theyve been around
but not much fluff has been written about them. I believe they were
created off of the Ultramarine Geneseed, actually just about everybody was
except the first founding. Other than that GW has written much fluff abou
them. Originally the fluff GW wrote was generic for all Space Marine
chapters not any particular one, Only with the new eddition of 40k have
they gotten into the each chapter has it's own identity. So make up your
own fluff is the best I can say
