I read it as follows ...
consider a battery of 3 Heavy artillery(Imperial Guard)
If they fire and can fit 3 models under the blast template then they can
make a 9 FP attack.
Now then, If there is a blast marker on the detachment they can only fire
with 2 of the weapons hence giving a 6 FP attack. If there are 2 blast
markers then the attack is 3 FP and so on.
What I got from that paragraph follows.
Each Blast Marker on a detachment will neutralise one Super Heavy weapon
REGARDLESS of what that weapon's effect is. For example a Warlord titan
armed with 2 weapon batteries, a mega cannon and a vortex missle. If this
titans closest target is 75 cm away and has a blast marker on it then it
may not fire it's vortex missile since it counts as a super heavy weapon.
Any of the weapons listed as super heavy weapons in the rulebook (can't
remember the page number) are shut down by a single blast marker. The
Pulsar counts as a single super heavy weapon.
Interestingly enough, the Imperator has it's main weapons listed as ..
Hellstorm Cannon (3x Mega Cannon) and Plasma Anihillator (3x Death Ray). To
me, this suggests that these require 3 blast markers each to shut them
down.
