If I remember well the WD article about StormTroopers, it is said that
they are elite soldiers of the Imperial Guard : the best of the best
coming from imperial orphanages... I think that the stubborn competence
is the best way to differentiate them from the standard imperial guards.
In addition, in a WD battle report (IG vs Eldars), a squad of
stormtroopers is demoralized by an Avatar and it is said roughly :
"despite their tenacity/courage/bravery, Stormtroopers run away in front
of the Eldar Avatar"...
Of course, you can use Space Marines to have stubborn detachments but
they're expensive and they are not always mixed with IG (some players
like to have a Space Marine or Imperial Guard only army).

As a Star Wars Game Master, I don't like this kind of stormtrooper. I'm
used to calm my players with some good stormtrooper squads. ;o)

This could be very interesting.
Imagine : AT-AT vs Titans, Stormtroopers against Space Marines, Dark
Jedis against Psykers, Vador against Ragnar Blackmane...
We don't need George Lucas to have our new SW trilogy! ;o)
