Re: [Epic] Revisiting BM's and Morale

At the risk of starting this up again, I have some "new ideas." Now
previously, when this was brought up, it was an either or thing between using
BM's, and the morale rules, versus the old VP system. Somebody posted
(Thane?) rules for troop experience, ie green troops don't react as well, and
I was thinking about combining the concepts of Morale, BM's, and VPs.
First could whoever originally posted those troop experience levels send me
a copy? Second, instead of either the VP's or the morale level being the be
all, end all of the game, use the BM's as fire suppression, morale as an
effect, and VP's to determine the over all victor.
Morale should have an effect, something along the reduced combat
effectiveness, delays in units receiving orders, or some such. The BM's would
be the usual ammount of fire suppression, with a lessened morale loss.
Objectives would give not only VP's, but a minor boost to morale, in line with
the reduced morale effect of the BM's. VP's would then determine the
strategic victor, but losses may mitigate that "victory." Greater chances for
those oh so fun pyrric victories.
This is a very rough idea, but what are the thoughts of the rest of yooze
all?
