Quoted from The Lost And the Damned pg182/183

"He casts forth his clairovoyant sight, lets his mind drift beyond the
ruined gardens of the palace, over fields where colossal Titans battle by
the twisted light of the sculpted moon. He sees the whole war spread out
beneath him, his pitifully outnumbered legions being mown down by the
traitor hordes. He reaches up to the sky, where he senses the fleet of
battlebarges that rain orbital doom upon the tortured earth. Amid those
thousand glittering points he finds the Warmaster."

Heres another from the old Space Marine (1st Edition)

"While you fight with bolter; laser and plasma, I have fought in my own way.
And I have found the shortest road to victory, as Russ would say. In less
than one minute, your man Yonnad will be ordered to teleport all the assault
troops from your reserve to a location I have given him. My Custodes will
teleport at the same time.
"I want you at my side, Rogal. Take up your weapons. We are going to face
Horus in his own command chamber"

Pretty cut and dried. Rogal Dorn and Sanguinius teleport aboard the ship
along with the Adeptus Custodes (I believe the old Space Marine/Adeptus
Titanicus says ALL the AC go up). No mention in the LatD book of what exact
chapter marines went up, although in the SM/AT it says they took the entire
reserve force of Imperial Fists up there.

Note that the attack on earth came very quickly after the treachery of Horus
was uncovered. I REALLY doubt Chaos can mutate quite that fast and that the
Traitors were full fledged Chaos Marines. Especially since that would
contradict a lot of the recent fluff as well (pray tell, explain to me how
the Rubic was cast on the Thousand Sons before the final battle? :) )

This whole discussion and the fact GW has no desire to maintain any
consistancy in the history really pisses me off. >:/ Pick a history and
stick to it damnit! Good Tzeentch, don't change it every version to fit
some stupid whim or marketing ploy.... <sigh>
