Just a quick question and then I will let everyone get
back to GW bashing (they deserve it).
I understand the Ally rule as 75% of one core army and
up to 25% of 1 allied army. So IG can ally with Tech
Guard, Space Marines and PDF. Under the rules then we
could choose 1 core army (say IG) and 1 ally army up
to 25%. These are optional.
I understand this butI have seen players and played
with players using 50%IG 25% SM and 25% TG because
they all fall under the Imperium. Accordingto the
rules this illegal but it does make sense they are
under the grace of the Emperor.
Now back to regular programming. My own views on GW.
Warmaster is a good game but they gave it up for dead.
No support and no plastic sprues for troops. Warhammer
FB is a decent game as is Space Hulk. 40k is lame with
terminators getting an invulnerable save and
carnifaxes not. Try playing a Dark Angels Deathwing
army. I played for 5 turns in a 1500 pt game with my
Tyranids. I killed 5 terminators while the Dark Angels
killed 50+ Tyranid units--Space Marine was fair, Rogue
Trader was fair but 40k just plain blows if you aren't
a specialized chapter. I think they will try a
re-release of "bot" game like AT that wiull lead into
aa Epic game. I hope Mage Knight buries them and Void
takes off.
