yes its slow but it is an IFV to support the terminators with its big guns and a good armor save. you can buy them rinos but only 1 stand of terminators will fit in it as all the story line goes But if you put termies and there landraiders on an objective its a bitch trying to get them off and the landraider gives them a long range punch they would not have other ways
or you can lode the termies into a T hawk on the table and move the landraiders off on there own
the thing is you need to think around the faults and use there strengths, this is the art of war
One thing has bugged me for a while; the incosistency of how the terminatorsquads are composed.
With their relative short range, the termies are required to get quite close to the enemy in order to shoot them, but at the same time they are cursed with a very excpencive Land Raider of mere 40 cm on charge. The land raider is IMO too excpencive and too slow to be used as APC. It is best to be used at a distance shooting at the enemy while the termies excell in CC and at close quarter firing. That way they hinder one another at performing at the peak of their abilities!
WHY ARE THEESE TWO UNITS PUT TOGETHER IN THE SAME SQUAD???!!??!!????!!!!
