Yes, but the problem with this rule is that it doesn't
differentiate between an elite troop and a grunt.
A vanguard with 5 attacks would be very effectively
stopped by a simple IG grunt. One attack takes out
the grunt, and the other 4 are simply wasted. And we're
talking about a commandunit which costs 600 for 5!
Plus, FF comes before CC. I think you should be able
to choose to fire FF with the charged unit as you
would any other FF unit which hasn't been charged.
All attacks would have to be directed at the charging
units until they were destroyed. Any remaining attacks
can then be taken, and CC is resolved as normal in the
CC phase. This is much more fair, and differentiates
between really good infantry and the grunts.

Subject: Re: [NetEpic ML] silly question?
I tend to agree with your friends. I play that way (if you are charged you
must fire at the charging unit)but others in my gaming group don't. There
aren't any rules against it. My thoughts are that if you were charged you
would probably fire everything you had at the charging unit and not be able
to choose a second target if you got them on the first shot. Now if a tank
is charged by a unit that cannot pin it then the tank can fire at whatever
it pleases. The tank can fire over the infantry. This I think is a Net Epic
rule.
